One confirmed price, two subscriptions and one big question mark.
The short version
GTA 6 Online has no announced price, because Rockstar hasn't announced the mode. GTA 6 itself costs $79.99 or £69.99 for Standard and $99.99 or £89.99 for Ultimate. Console online memberships and GTA+ at $7.99 a month are separate costs.
Quick answer
How much is GTA 6 Online?
No price has been announced, because Rockstar hasn't announced the mode. GTA 6 costs $79.99 or £69.99 for Standard and $99.99 or £89.99 for Ultimate, confirmed by Take Two and UK retailers. Whether online is included or paid for separately is unknown, and console memberships cost extra.
One number is fixed. GTA 6 costs $79.99, set in Take Two's preorder announcement, and £69.99 in the UK, as Metro reported. Every other cost of playing online sits around it.
What will it cost to play GTA 6 online?
| Cost | US | UK | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| GTA 6 Standard | $79.99 | £69.99 | Confirmed |
| GTA 6 Ultimate | $99.99 | £89.99 | Confirmed |
| GTA 6 Online access | Unknown | Unknown | Not announced |
| Console online membership | Varies | Varies | Normally required |
| GTA+ | $7.99 a month | Varies | Optional |
The GTA+ price is from the Rockstar Store. Digital preorders of GTA 6 include a free month.
Does the Ultimate Edition add anything online?
Nothing announced. Take Two describes the Ultimate Edition Upgrade as vehicles, weapons, apparel and action threaded through Jason and Lucia's story. That is single player content until Rockstar says otherwise.
Will you need PlayStation Plus?
On PS5, online multiplayer normally needs PlayStation Plus, and Xbox has its own paid tier. Rockstar hasn't confirmed GTA 6 Online's rules, so treat that as the likely case. Our PS Plus and GTA+ guide explains each subscription.
Should you wait to buy GTA 6?
Not for online reasons. The online mode isn't part of the launch, so the price you pay on 19 November is for the story. If online turns out to cost extra, that will be a separate decision later.
